Sally has worked in the environment industry for over 11 years. She has managed campaigns such as Say NO to Plastic Bags, Clean Up Australia Day, Towards Zero Waste and Clean Up Mobile Phones. She is currently running industry and events initiatives for the Carbon Reduction Institute.

She has worked in events and conservation, organising thousands of projects involving community activities such as tree planting, bush regeneration and heritage restoration. She has been responsible for leading teams in the field and spent some time as a tour guide in Vietnam, Cambodia and China. She has a Bachelor of Science from Melbourne University, majoring in Environmental Management and Conservation Biology.

From presenting on environmental educations DVD’s to hosting an eco-show on Bondi FM, she is a passionate communicator of environmental issues and practical solutions. This is why when Sally was planning her wedding; she wanted to consider the environment as much as possible.

She soon learned that there are many ways to plan a wedding, keeping the environment in mind. The only problem was that there was no one place to get all of this information. She created the Green Wedding Guide website as an initial step to helping people. The site currently encourages eco-friendly businesses to get involved and list their services so people with like minds can utilise their services.

Understanding how stressful and detailed wedding planning can be, Sally is also offering to ‘green’ your own wedding. This comprehensive process will ensure your event’s environmental impact is minimised, without taking up too much of your precious time. Your own Green Wedding Guide - Certified Event will be communicated to your guests in individual ways, to raise awareness and environmental understanding.

A ‘green’ wedding is
one which takes

into account the
environmental impact
of the event and
lowers
this through careful planning.
